New Years Goals And How Kinesiology Can Help Achieve Them

Christmas is a funny time of year….Lots of festivities, parties and over-indulgence, usually leading to New Year when we then try to take ourselves in hand with well intentioned Resolutions which may or may not make it past week one…!

Kinesiology can help with this “regeneration” process and has a variety of techniques which can help cement the resolution, or any goal or objective, into the subconscious to ensure success.

Kinesiology uses muscle testing as a diagnostic tool to find imbalance in the body. Each muscle relates to an organ and to a Chinese meridian. By strengthening a weak muscle we are also energising the whole circuit which leads to homeostasis – or balance. Muscles are strengthened by a variety of means – lymphatic massage, meridian tracing, acupressure points, nutrition, herbs and flower essences. Also, muscles are affected by emotions and by targeting negative thought patterns we can also help balance the body. Once the body is balanced, we can then also show the client what is throwing it off-balance – by placing certain foods, chemicals or drinks “in the circuit” we can show very effectively the effect of that substance on the muscle and body systems.

So how can this help with New Years Resolutions or any kind of goal setting? Well, as human beings we are very adapt at fooling ourselves and our subconscious can often be acting powerfully in the background thwarting our every good intention…for example someone may be thinking “I want to lose weight”.

This would be a conscious thought, but the subconscious would think “I will find it again”…… OR, “if I lose weight I will have to buy new clothes and I haven’t any money” OR “if I lose weight I will then be attractive…..”. We avoid negative statements like “I want to give up smoking and prefer “I am a non smoker” or “I am comfortable and healthy with clean lungs”. A Kinesiologist can ask a client to state what their intention is and then muscle test to check that the subconscious isn’t sabotaging this thought. We can also find nutritional and herbal supplements which may help the nervous system and the body systems that need support (ie milk thistle to support the liver if someone is detoxing or giving up alcohol), or bach flower essences (ie larch for confidence, chestnut bud for repeating mistakes, scleranthus for decision making).

We will then find which circuit is being “blown” by the thought and use meridian tapping, NLP and EFT techniques for positive affirmation – but rather than tap everything, we can target very specifically which areas are right for the client. We can also find previous patterns and links which are now unhelpful and break them, forging new habits in their place.

Of course, the client has to help themselves, but a good Kinesiologist will always give “homework” or self help techniques to do on a regular basis, which means better value for money for the client and faster and more effective results for you.
